Air Rifle Servicing and Repairs at Crackshot

Air Rifle Servicing and Repairs at Crackshot

An air rifle can give you many years of reliable use, but faults, wear and changes in performance can occur over time. When something does not feel or perform as it normally does, getting the rifle checked can help you understand what is wrong and what needs to be done next.

Crackshot provides air rifle servicing and repair support from our airgun centre in Newton Abbot, Devon. Whether you have noticed a specific fault or simply feel that your rifle is no longer performing as it should, our team is here to help.

When might your air rifle need attention?

Some problems are immediately noticeable, while others develop gradually. It may be time to have your rifle checked if you notice:

  • A change in accuracy or consistency
  • A loss of power
  • Air escaping from a PCP air rifle
  • Difficulty operating the bolt or cocking mechanism
  • Unusual sounds during use
  • A trigger or safety mechanism that does not feel right
  • Damage or a part that has become loose
  • Performance that is different from what you would normally expect

If something feels wrong, stop using the air rifle and contact us for advice. Do not attempt a repair or modification unless you have the appropriate knowledge and equipment.

Air rifle servicing

Servicing gives you an opportunity to have your air rifle examined and identify any parts that may require attention.

The work required will depend on the rifle, its condition and any symptoms you have noticed. When contacting Crackshot, it is helpful to tell us:

  • The make and model of the air rifle
  • Whether it is PCP, spring-powered, gas-ram or CO₂
  • What problem you have noticed
  • When the problem began
  • Whether any recent changes or modifications have been made

Providing this information will help us understand the issue and advise you about the next step.

Air rifle repairs

If your air rifle develops a fault, it is important to have the problem properly assessed rather than continuing to use it or trying to replace parts without knowing the cause.

What appears to be one problem can sometimes have a different underlying cause. A loss of accuracy, for example, does not automatically mean that the rifle itself is faulty. The scope, mounts, pellets or setup could also affect how it performs.

At Crackshot, we take the time to listen to what you have noticed and help identify where the problem may be.
