Airguns Delivered to Your Door? How Crackshot Delivery Works

Can airguns be delivered to your door?

Searching for airguns delivered to your door? If you order an airgun from Crackshot, we arrange delivery to a local Registered Firearms Dealer (RFD) for you to collect. We don’t deliver airguns to a home address.

You don’t need to know all the terminology to order. We’ll explain how collection works and help you find a suitable dealer near you.

How does airgun delivery from Crackshot work?

We send your airgun to a nearby RFD, rather than to your front door. The dealer receives it securely, and you collect it from them once it is ready.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose an airgun from the Crackshot online shop.
  2. Tell us if you have a preferred RFD. We’ll check whether we can arrange delivery there. If you don’t have a dealer in mind, we can help find a suitable local option.
  3. We arrange the transfer, paperwork and delivery to the receiving dealer.
  4. The RFD lets you know when the airgun is ready. You then arrange collection with them during their opening hours.

Our RFD transfer service is currently £40, including packaging, postage and transfer fees. We use Parcel Force next-day AM delivery after dispatch and dispatch Monday to Thursday. The time until your airgun is ready to collect can depend on stock, dispatch, the courier and the receiving dealer. Check our delivery information for the current service details.

What does RFD mean?

RFD means Registered Firearms Dealer. In this case, it’s the local dealer that receives your airgun so you can collect it nearby.

“RFD transfer” is the trade term for arranging delivery between dealers. In everyday terms, Crackshot sends your airgun to an agreed local gun shop for you to pick up. If anything about the process is unclear, just ask us. There’s no pressure to know the terminology before you get in touch.

Why collect your airgun from an RFD?

Collection can be more convenient if you can’t be at home for a delivery. Your airgun is held at the receiving dealer until you arrange a suitable collection time, subject to that dealer’s opening hours and arrangements.

You may also be able to pick up extras, such as pellets, from the dealer when you collect. Check with them first if you would like to buy anything at the same time.

Can I choose the RFD?

If you already use a local dealer, contact us with their details before ordering. We’ll check whether we can send your airgun there. If you’re not sure which RFD to use, we can help you look for a suitable option near you.

Some airguns or locations may need additional checks or paperwork. If you’re unsure what applies to the airgun you’re considering, speak to our team before ordering and we’ll explain what you need to know.

Looking for airgun delivery to your home?

Some retailers offer home delivery using their own drivers. Crackshot’s online airgun service is delivery to an RFD for collection, rather than delivery to your home. We’ll make that clear before you order, so you know where your airgun is going and what to do next.

If you’re still choosing an airgun, tell us how you plan to use it and we’ll help you narrow down the options. Our team offers friendly, knowledgeable advice and straightforward answers, without pressure.
